Registration closes today for the Ladies Who Lunch, Women's Wellness Day. See original post for more details and how to register.

This is a reminder that Ladies Who Lunch is ONE WEEK AWAY! 💚

Please note that registration closes tomorrow, September 8th, 2026.

📅 When? Tuesday, September 15th, from 10:00am to 4:00pm
📍 Where? The Lower Ohio Hall (1581 Highway 203, Shelburne)

TO REGISTER:

Please specify which sessions you would like to attend and if you require transportation (if so, we will need a pick-up address).

The day will be broken up into 4 sessions.

If you sign up and attend all 4 sessions, your name will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift certificate to Sobeys!

SCHEDULE:

❤️ Session 1 at 10:00am: This session will be a presentation by Public Health. Jenny Campbell from Public Health will share information about their services and how they can help you.

💬 Session 2 at 11:00am: This session will be a presentation by Social Worker Emma Meulenkamp. She will share what services she can provide to you.

🍴 LUNCH AT 12:00pm: Provided by our friends at SASI

🍂 Session 3 at 1:00pm: This session will be a fall craft session with Lisa Locke, Shelburne Recreation's Coordinator.

🧘‍♀️ Session 4 at 3:00pm: This session will contain gentle yoga with Alice Hatton.

Transportation will be provided by Sou'West Nova Transit.
Funding has been provided by Shelburne County Community Health Board.

PROGRAMME :

❤️ Séance 1 à 10 h : Présentation par le service de santé publique (Public Health). Jenny Campbell présentera leurs services et expliquera comment ils peuvent vous aider.

💬 Séance 2 à 11 h : Présentation par la travailleuse sociale Emma Meulenkamp. Elle présentera les services qu'elle peut vous offrir.

🍴 DÉJEUNER À 12 h : Offert par nos amis de SASI.

🍂 Séance 3 à 13 h : Atelier de bricolage sur le thème de l'automne avec Lisa Locke, coordonnatrice des loisirs de Shelburne (Shelburne Recreation).

🧘‍♀️ Séance 4 à 15 h : Séance de yoga doux avec Alice Hatton.

As another busy summer wraps up, we want to give a huge THANK YOU to our amazing summer staff! Thank you for bringing your energy, creativity, enthusiasm and plenty of fun to our programs all summer long. A special shoutout to Reese, Emma and Jersey, as this marks their final summer with us. We are so grateful for everything they have brought to our programs over the years. We will certainly miss having them on our summer team and wish them all the best as they begin their next chapter!

Thanks to your generosity, the kids collected $174.88 in donations, which will be donated to Hillcrest Academy’s Breakfast Program.

As our summer programming winds down, we want to send a big THANK YOU to some wonderful community partners and instructors who helped us provide unique recreation opportunities this summer!

🏄 Jeff Norman and his team at Rossignol Surf Shop for offering youth and adult surf lessons at Crescent Beach and giving participants the chance to get out on the waves!

🎨 Sherry Cliff of Aroo Pottery for leading our youth pottery painting program and helping participants create their own one-of-a-kind cereal bowls!

🏄‍♀️ Karah Scott for offering Stand-Up Paddleboarding sessions for both youth and adults at Beaverdam Lake and helping participants build their skills and confidence on the water!

Thank you for helping us make this summer one filled with opportunities to try something new, get active, be creative, and have fun!

Have a skill, hobby, or talent you’d love to share? The Community-Use Program at SRHS is looking for instructors to offer recreation programs this Fall & Winter!

Instructors Needed!
Do you have a skill, talent, or hobby that you want to share?

The Community-Use Program at SRHS is looking for community members interested in offering recreation opportunities in the Fall and Winter months.

Programming can cover a variety of different topics or areas:
- arts & culture
- sports & physical activity
- wellness
- leisure
- special interest

Program Instructors will be compensated for their services or can choose to offer them voluntarily.

Interested in being a participant rather than instructing? We would love to hear from! If you have a specific program you would like to see or something you'd like to learn more about, please reach out and let us know!
