🚧 Do You Need a Permit for That? Think Before You Start!

Warmer weather is here ☀️ and many of us are planning outdoor upgrades — from driveway expansions to patios and walkways.

From camping gear and yard tools to sports equipment, garage space can fill up quickly. It’s no surprise many homeowners consider expanding their driveway — but it’s important to check the rules first. Driveway extensions are only permitted on the private portion of your property and must meet Zoning By-law requirements.

Before you start, keep in mind ⬇️
✅ Permits or approvals may be required
✅ Projects must meet zoning and setback rules
✅ Work must stay within your property boundaries

Projects may include:
• Driveway widening
• Patios & walkways
• Decks & porches
• Pools
• Sheds & more

📞 Always check before you start — it can save time, money, and hassle.

⚠️ Important: You must contact Ontario One Call before digging to locate underground utilities and stay safe.
