Shelburne Public Library The Shelburne Public Library serves the community of Shelburne and the surrounding townships of Amaranth, Melancthon, Mono, and Mulmur.

The Shelburne Public Library provides access to a rich and diverse variety of materials to meet the informational and recreational needs of the community. The Library serves the community of Shelburne and the surrounding townships of Amaranth, Melancthon, Mono, and Mulmur. People who work or attend school in Shelburne are also welcome to join our library. The collection itself is comprised of over 32,000 items including popular fiction and non-fiction titles, local historical materials, reference material, DVDs, music CDs, books on CD, magazines and newspapers. Internet access on computers, wireless connectivity, children's literacy computers and access and support on a large variety of informational databases are all part of the services provided by your library.

Stop by the library for some Halloween fun!

During Story Time on both Wednesday & Friday, we will begin the day with a Costume Parade! We will walk around both floors of the library while staff hand out candy at different stations. Bring your candy bucket and be ready for some fun :)

On Wednesday kids are also encouraged to wear their costume to LEGO Club! We can't wait to see what costumes everyone chose this year 👻🎃

September was Library Card Sign Up Month and we welcomed (or welcomed back) a total of 136 residents. That's over 4 new members/day!🥳🤩

We encouraged a friendly competition between the five municipalities we serve and here are the results.

Although Shelburne took the trophy home this time, every municipality is a winner as now even more residents are accessing books (including audio & ebooks), movies, passes to museums and parks, and so much more!

A BIG thank you to all of our patrons for supporting the Shelburne Public Library!

What a beautiful day to get outside!

Our guided tour led by Carl was filled with insider knowledge of trail development, and heartfelt stories of the trail and the years of work that went into to it. We highly recommend visiting Splitrock before winter begins 🍂

Celebrate Ontario Public Library Week with the Shelburne Public Library and author Alex Lam! Enjoy a conversation about longevity and personal wellness, a book swap, Blind Date with a Book, and light refreshments.

- Bring 1–3 books to exchange!
- Open to all ages, with a focus on adults 55+
- Free to attend
