This year, June 21 will mark the 30th annual National Indigenous Peoples Day in Canada!

Join us for our activities from June 23 to August 8, 2026. It’s free!

Please note that registration is required for all activities (except for the drop-in family activity on Tuesdays). You can also register during the current week of activities or one week in advance.

Please note that the last day to pick up your pass at the Shediac Public Library is Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the library is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Please check our hours of operation.

Need to get away from it all? Starting May 15th, you can explore the natural beauty of New Brunswick with a Provincial Parks Day Pass from your local public library!

From May 15 to October 11, 2026, you can borrow a pass which gives you one day’s admission to an NB Park of your choosing – for free! All you need is a library card.

You can select from one of the following parks:
✹ Fundy Trail Provincial Park
✹ Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park
✹ Mt. Carleton Provincial Park
✹ Murray Beach Provincial Park
✹ New River Beach Provincial Park
✹ Parlee Beach Provincial Park

There are only 500 passes available per day, and they must be used within 3 days of when they were borrowed. Contact the library to learn more.
