Our next Toonie Movie Night is next Friday, November 6, 2026, and starts at 6:30 p.m. sharp.

$2 admission per person includes popcorn and a drink.
Additional snacks are available for $1 while supplies last.

November's movie from 1989 is "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids" starring Rick Moranis, Matt Frewer, and Marcia Strassman.

"The scientist father of a teenage girl and boy accidentally shrinks his and two other neighborhood teens to the size of insects. Now the teens must fight diminutive dangers as the father searches for them."

This movie is rated G.

Children under the age of 12 require guardian permission. If you plan on sending your child without a guardian, please contact the library at 780-568-4333.

We have some art starting to roll in for our 6th Annual Miniature Art Show! Interested in entering? Stop in and talk to any of our friendly staff.

Our 6th Annual Miniature Art Show is returning to the Sexsmith Shannon Library, and we want to see what you can create!
Don’t let the word miniature fool you, we’ve seen some BIG creativity come out of these tiny masterpieces!

Next Tuesday, October 20, 2026, is our first full Blow Off Some STEAM session of the season for our friends ages 10+.

We'll be creating skeleton hands and exploring how joints and tendons work.

STEAM runs from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on the 2nd Tuesday of the month for ages 6-9, and on the 3rd Tuesday of the month for ages 10+.

STEAM = Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
It's all about mixing creativity with problem-solving - using imagination, design, and innovation, alongside math and science, to tackle real-world challenges.
