It officially started at 11:08 a.m. on Thursday morning when Mayor Jay Holmes turned the water valve on to officially begin making RO water for the Village of Semans. It was witnessed by KGS engineer and project manager Randy Schatz from Element Water, our Town Foreman/water operator Bryan Newbury, Village Administrator Teresa Marshall, Councillor Lyle Dudley, and others. There will be a proper grand opening for our RO water plant in the near future.

The ratepayers should be aware that the RO water has passed all water tests and meets a very high standard. Over the next few days, the water will have some of our sand-green filtered water blended in with the RO water because the cistern currently has existing water in it 💦. This should clear up quickly, and we should soon be able to enjoy high-quality RO water.

Our fill station will be available for people to get water in the next couple of weeks. I will advise everyone when it is up and running and provide information on how it will be administered.

Office will be closed this afternoon and Tuesday afternoon because the Administrator has to bring in water tests for the RO system. Sorry for inconvenience.

I want to take a moment to thank some of our council members for their hard work on the Dutch elm disease efforts and tree removal projects. We truly appreciate how much time and energy they volunteer to keep our neighborhood safe and beautiful.

I was advised from Saskpower that there is a scheduled power outage on August 11th from 1:45-3:45 pm.
