Starting October 1, 2026, the Town of Sedgewick will transition to an enhanced recycling program which will include a new curbside recycling service! Starting October 8th, 2026.

This new service will be managed by Circular Materials under Alberta’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework. Circular Materials is a not-for-profit producer responsibility organization, responsible for Alberta’s transition to EPR. You can expect a more convenient, consistent and effective recycling system that improves recycling rates and ensures that recyclable materials are looped into the circular economy to be used again and again.

THE POOL IS BACK OPEN!

Thanks to the quick action of our staff, a new motor arrived and has already been installed — which means we’re officially back up and running!

Just a little heads-up before you jump in… since the heater was off during the closure, the pool is a little chillier than usual today! We expect the temperature to be back to normal by tomorrow.

We sincerely apologize to our campers and community members for the unexpected closure and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while we got things fixed as quickly as possible. 💙

TEMPORARY POOL CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT

Unfortunately, due to unexpected MECHANICAL circumstances, we need to temporarily close the pool.

We’re hopeful this will only be for the next couple of days (waiting for parts and installation)! As soon as we have a confirmed reopening date, we’ll share an update right here on our page.

We sincerely apologize to our campers and community members who were planning to come out and enjoy the pool. We know how much everyone looks forward to those summer pool days, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to get things back up and running.
