🌊 Why does Wabamun Lake’s water level rise and fall?
Join us as WWMC Director Neil Fleming explores the history of Wabamun Lake’s water levels and the many factors that influence how much water enters, leaves and remains in the lake — including precipitation, evaporation, groundwater, runoff, the weir and human activity.
We’ll also look ahead at how climate variability, changing land use and future reclamation of the Highvale Mine could influence the lake’s hydrology.
