🍂FALL OPERATIONS INFORMATION🍂

Although peak season has come to an end, Rainbow Falls is still open and ready for you to explore! If you’re planning on visiting us this fall, please read the following carefully:

GATEHOUSE HOURS & SERVICES:
🏠 Whitesand Gatehouse
September 7th and 8th: 11:15AM - 6:00PM
September 9th and 10th: CLOSED
September 11th and 12th : 11:15AM - 6:00PM
After September 12th: CLOSED FOR THE SEASON

🏠 Rossport Gatehouse
September 7th - 12th: CLOSED
Starting September 13th:
Mondays: 11:15AM - 6:00PM
Tuesdays: 11:15AM - 6:00PM
Wednesdays: CLOSED
Thursdays: CLOSED
Fridays: 11:15AM - 6:00PM
Saturdays: 11:15AM - 6:00PM
Sundays: 11:15AM - 6:00PM

If you're looking for a day-use permit or to purchase merchandise once the Whitesand Gatehouse is closed for the season, please see staff at the Rossport Gatehouse (4km west of the Whitesand Campground).

🌲Arriving to the park before or after the gatehouse has opened or closed?
Check online at (reservations.ontarioparks.com) or contact our call centre at 1-888-668-7275 for up to date availability and to make a reservation for an available site for the night. Reservations are available online and through our call centre up to 9pm on the day of arrival. This is the best way to secure your campsite during your stay outside of gate operational hours. You can book day-use permits though the website and phone number as well.

🛶 Canoe, Kayak and Paddle board rentals are closed for the season as of September 7th. They will not be rentable on September 7th.

🗓️2026 CLOSING DATES:
⛺ Whitesand Campground: CLOSED ON SEPTEMBER 13TH
⛺ Rossport Campground: CLOSED ON OCTOBER 13TH
☀ Day-use: CLOSED ON OCTOBER 13TH

🐻 While camping at Rainbow Falls, you are in bear country. Please be mindful and aware as we are guests in their home. Here are some tips to ensure you are being both respectful and during your stay: https://blog.ontarioparks.ca/black-bear-safety/

🐾 Reminder: Dogs must be on a leash at all times unless in a designated off leash area. Dogs must be under control at all times.

💻 Be sure to check the park website prior to visiting to stay up to date about park alerts such as closures, water advisories, and fire bans: https://www.ontarioparks.ca/park/rainbowfalls/alerts

Happy !

⚠️PARK UPDATE⚠️

The fire ban has been lifted for Rainbow Falls Provincial Park, effective Thursday, August 20th, 2026, at 12:01 am.

A few friendly reminders regarding fires in the park:

❌ It is illegal to burn driftwood or other deadfall in our campgrounds
🪵Firewood and kindling can be purchased from the gatehouse
🔥 Fires are only permitted within designated fire pits
💦Never leave campfires unattended and always ensure they are extinguished completely before leaving your campsite or going to bed
