Announcements for this week:

Tonight, Tuesday, September 8th. Highland Dance at the Sault Ste Museum, 690 Queen St East, entrance through the rear of the building. Dress is comfortable civilian clothes, bring a water bottle. First and second year cadet dancers 5:45pm until 6:45pm. Intermediate level Cadets 6:45pm until 7:45pm. Senior Cadet Dancers 7:30pm until 9:00pm.

Saturday, September 12th. Training session for the senior cadet instructors. At the armoury, 9:00am until 3:00pm. Lunch is provided, dress if FTU. This is ONLY for the cadets in Gold Star and above this training year. Details will be sent to these cadets via email.

Sunday, September 13th. Battle of Britain Commemoration Parade. Sault Ste Marie Airport. Dress is full dress / band uniform or appropriate civilian clothes. Please see the attached letter for details.

Next Monday, September 14th. Regular training. Dress for the cadets is FTU or appropriate civilian clothes. The first part of the evening will be a presentation covering details and events for this training year, along with a short presentation from our Support Committee relating to how parents can assist the cadet corps. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend this presentation beginning at 7:15pm after opening parade.

Wishing fun times and great experiences to CWO Curlew-Doherty and WO Kent, catching a flight today back to Blackdown, having been selected for the Petawawa Regional Army Cadet Expedition. Two weeks of hiking, mountain biking and white water canoeing at CFB Borden, CFB Petawawa and Algonquin Park.

This afternoon, our next group of course cadets flew from the SSM airport heading to Blackdown for 4 week courses. Sgt. Duncan and Sgt. Millington for Pipe Band Musician, Sgt. Robinson for Drill and Ceremony Instructor and WO Lemay for Fitness and Sports Instructor. Enjoy your time there, have fun and be ready to share all that knowledge in September.
