Same 911. Same Ambulance Communication Officers. Same Paramedics. Same Commitment. 💛🚑
During Paramedic Services Week, we’re recognizing the people behind every emergency call, and sharing a quick reminder about what to expect when you dial 911.
It’s been over a month since the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) was introduced in Sault Ste. Marie. Here’s what that means for you:
✔️ 911 is still the number to call
✔️ Life-threatening emergencies still receive immediate response
✔️ Ambulance coverage remains the same
You may notice you’re asked more detailed questions when calling. That’s a key part of the system—helping ensure the right care is sent, as quickly as possible.
By working together, callers, Ambulance Communications Officers, and Paramedics, we’re strengthening how emergency care is delivered in our community. 💛
