Our Mission: Effective, just and humane responses to crime and its causes.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced board members, with experience in one or more of the following areas:

Addictions
Mental Health
Social Work
Police
Legal
Board Governance
Financial

Our board meets 10 times per year (15-30 hours). Workload at the board level is not usually onerous.

Learn more about supports for successful tenancies with our Housing Stability Team on June 2nd from 3-6pm at Delta (Thompson Room). Attending is an opportunity to learn about the different resources available for housing providers as well as connect with others!

Our supportive housing site hosted Robert Patterson today of The Growing Connection for an educational workshop on Caja systems, targeting residents, staff, and community partners. The engaging experience included watching an empty bin become a fruitful garden, currently supplying tomatoes, lettuce, and arugula. Future growth plans include beans, peppers, berries, and cucumbers. We appreciate Robert's guidance and look forward to continued learning. The Growing Connection

Our main office will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026 for Victoria Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Our food bank is in need of toiletries! Our clients really appreciate being able to receive these self-care items, particularly body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, but we're right out. We'd appreciate any donations of these items - and yes, we're always happy to receive the small bottles you've collected from hotels! 🧼
