Today, June 1, the fire rating in Prince and Dennis South Townships is extreme. While we haven’t enacted a fire ban, please consider holding off on open burns until we get some precipitation.

UPDATE- Prince Fire has cleared the scene.

Prince Fire are currently actioning on a brush fire on Second Line west of Gagnon Road. Tanker shuttle is currently on progress. Please yield to emergency responders.

Two Prince firefighters are at Goulais River Fire this weekend completing the live burn portion of the NFPA 1001 Firefighter 2 course. After their final exam in June they will be certified interior attack firefighters. Thanks to Goulais River Fire for hosting!

Prince Fire is currently on scene of a motor vehicle collision on Second Line in front of the township office. The westbound lanes are partially blocked. Please use caution in the area.

Finally nice weather! The last couple of training nights have been pump ops and advancing hose lines. So nice to get outside and get a refresher on these important skills.
