This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the incredible people who power our mission every single day.

Our volunteers are more than supporters—they are mentors, motivators, stylists, coaches, and champions. They show up with compassion, generosity, and a deep belief in the potential of every woman we serve.

Because of you, confidence is restored. Opportunities are created. Futures are changed.

To every volunteer across our network—thank you for giving your time, your energy, and your heart. We simply couldn’t do this work without you.

We are excited to introduce EmpowerHer (Formerly Women Empowering Women). This newly revamped program is designed to help women build confidence, gain practical skills, and take the next step toward their goals — all in a supportive, barrier-free environment.

This program will take place on Tuesdays, starting May 6 to June 24, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at Saskatoon Community Service Village.

This eight-week program will focus on financial literacy and independence, workplace rights and confidence, communication and leadership, technology and digital skills, job readiness and career planning, and you will receive a certificate of completion.

We will be offering childcare and transportation stipends to make this program accessible for everyone.

As we wrap up March, we want to take time again to thank everyone who came out to Aspire to celebrate International Women’s Day with Dress for Success Saskatoon and made the event so special! We had such an unbelievable night surrounded by our community.

Thank you to LB Distillers for hosting us, to The Prairie Grazer, Sparrow Coffee and City Perks, and Stella's Baklava for the incredible food throughout the night. Thank you to True North Photo Booth Company and boke.hmedia for capturing these memories for us!

Thank you to WestJet, Midtown, Pit Fitness, and all of those who donated prizes to make the night so special! We are so overwhelmed with the support of local businesses in Saskatoon.

And a huge thank you to our Keynote Speakers, Heather Morrison and Tammy Zdunich, for their wonderful session on confidence! Thank you to Rachael Meckling for her always incredible presence and fashion portraits throughout the evening, and thank you to Nancy and Kate for sharing their experiences with Dress for Success Saskatoon and the impact it has had on their lives.

And of course, thank you a million to the volunteers who made this night happen! Our events committee put in incredible effort and many hours to create such a successful event! Thank you to our Events Lead, Tania Friesen, who led our team throughout this incredible experience and put on yet another impactful fundraiser.
