Saskatoon Region Early Childhood Intervention Program - ECIP

Saskatoon Region Early Childhood Intervention Program - ECIP ECIP is a non-profit organization that provides a home visiting program for families of children 0-6 that have developmental delays.

The Saskatoon Region Early Childhood Intervention Program is part of a provincial network of home based support services for families with children from birth to school age, who are at risk for delay or who are delayed in their development. Services are provided by an Early Childhood Consultant. Children who are involved with ECIP are often delayed in reaching age-appropriate, developmental milest

ones, such as walking, talking, eating, maneuvering, playing, or interacting socially.

- ECIP Consultants provide an important link between families and other professionals.

- ECIP Consultants work collaboratively with child care providers, speech and language pathologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, early childhood psychologists, teachers, and school administrators, among others, to support achievement of family-centered goals.

- ECIP Consultants also support smooth transitions into school and other centre-based programs and services as needed.

It was a challenge for Lorraine to select just one book to showcase. Today she chose Truck Jam by Paul Strickland, tomorrow could be a different story.
Truck Jam is full of interactive pages, 3D visuals and catchy phrases. Lorraine read this story with her children time and time again. As adults, they will still quote “Truck Jam”. Lorraine cannot wait to share this story with her soon to be Grandchildren, and carry on the love of reading.
