Due to deteriorating provincial culverts in the Provincial Atchison Drain, Vouriot Road is closed effective immediately and will remain closed indefinitely.

🐾As a responsible pet owner, please help keep your community clean and beautiful. Let’s respect our pathways and parks by picking up after your pet and disposing of your pet waste properly.

Off-leash dogs are not only dangerous to other dogs but people as well. Parks, playgrounds and walking trails are multi-use, and frequented by small children, walkers, joggers, and cyclists, all of whom are in danger when dogs run uncontrolled. No matter where you take your dog or how well trained they are, your dog is safer when on a leash, and you are too.

🌿 The Green Team is Back in Action! 🌿
Our Green Team is geared up and ready for another busy summer season! Each year, we welcome a crew of energetic University and High School summer students, who begin between May & June. They help keep our communities looking fresh and beautiful.

🛠️ How We’re Organized:
3 Mowing & Trimming Crews – Six students working in pairs, with one operating the mower and the other trimming.
2 W**d Board Members – Tackling noxious weeds and keeping them under control.
2 Watering & Flowerbed Attendants – Caring for hanging baskets, potted flowers, and garden beds.
1 Parks Supervisor – Overseeing the entire operation, keeping the schedule running smoothly, and helping out where need be.

🌱 The Scope of the Work:
We maintain 30 green spaces and over 120 acres across Brunkild, Oak Bluff, La Salle, Sanford, and Starbuck. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, weeding, watering hanging baskets, and maintaining flowerbeds. On average, it takes about 10 days to complete one full cycle, weather permitting and assuming no equipment breakdowns.

📋 We’ve also created a general activity and to-do list to keep things on track and ensure nothing gets missed throughout the summer.
