@4:14am this morning crews responded to a residential fire alarm in Salmon Cove, E345 & R347 responded it was determined to be a false alarm. All units back to station & in service.

Today at 12:39 pm SCPCFD along with Victoria Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motorcycle accident in Perry’s cove along route 70, one person was transported to hospital with injury’s. All crews and back at the hall and in service.

A province-wide fire ban is now in effect across Newfoundland and Labrador.

A fire ban has been declared for the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador due to elevated Fire Weather Index ratings and extensive wildfire activity in Labrador. The ban is effective immediately until July 17.

With the warm weather and dry conditions we’re experiencing, everyone needs to do their part to help prevent wildfires and structure fires.

✅ Completely extinguish all smoking materials before disposing of them.
✅ Never toss cigarette butts on the ground or out a vehicle window.
✅ Keep campfires attended and fully extinguish them before leaving.
✅ Be mindful of any activity that could create sparks.

A few seconds of carelessness can have devastating consequences for families, homes, and our community.

It's time for our Annual CANADA DAY DUCK RACE!! 🦆 🇨🇦

SCPC Auxiliary along with the SCPC Fire Department, are selling ducks for our Annual Duck Race.

💵: Ducks are $5 each.

🏠: The Race will take place in the brook next to the Salmon Cove Playground.

🕖: 7:00 PM (Please take note of the time change from previous years)

Prizes:
🥇: $300
🥈: $200
🥉: $100

Please see any member of our Fire Department or any member of our Auxiliary to purchase your ducks.

06:59 am this morning SCPCFD responded to a single car MVC roll over in Perry's cove. One person was transported to hospital with minor injuries. All units back to station & in service. Victoria Volunteer Fire Department
