Hi All, The Silver Creek Firefighters Association has decided to postpone our skating event till January 17, 2026 from 12 till 3. This is due to the warmer weather and that the rink is closed because of it. If you can hang on to your tree for 1 more week if not drop off at the Firehall by our sea cans.

POSTPONED TILL SATURDAY JANUARY 17. We want to invite everyone out to this event on January 11, 2026 that the Silver Creek Firefighters Association is putting on. If you are not able to bring your tree down on that day message us to arrange for it to be picked up. As long as the weather holds up the rink will be good.👩‍🚒🧑‍🚒⛸️

Its that time of the year again we have started our 7th Annual Food Drive. Like last year we are teaming up with the Silver Creek Elementary, Silver Creek Community Association, and other organizations in Silver Creek. Please reach out to us if you have a donation that needs to be picked up. Last year we had 7 different families in Silver Creek that we helped out. If you know of a family or an individual in need this year please call the Firehall at 250-832-6357 and talk with Fire Chief Darcy Blair and let us know who they are. We are hoping to be able to help out as many as we can.

Hi all, we want to say thanks to all that came out to see the fireworks show. We want to extend our thanks to the Silver Creek Community Association and the Silver Creek Firefighters Association and the CSRD for making this show possible again in Silver Creek. We also need a big thanks to Michael Evan Sarrazin for your work organizing the Fireworks.

Halloween Fireworks Show
October 31, 2025 @ 7PM
Silver Creek Community Park

Come out and enjoy the show with a hotdog, hot chocolate, coffee all by donation while standing around a campfire. The Silver Creek Firefighters Association will be selling supporter T-Shirts at the event for $30 each they have limited stock and will take orders for the next batch.

Reminder of the Fireworks on October 31, 2025. The Silver Creek Firefighters Association should have their supporter t-shirt on sale for $30 each. We will have limited quantities there but will take orders for more.

It is still dry please ensure you have the proper equipment to put your fire out properly.

Effective at 12:00 p.m. (noon) PDT on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, the Category 2 and 3 open fire prohibitions and associated restrictions expire in the Kamloops Fire Centre region. This means open burning will be permitted throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre.

Check with your local government or other jurisdictional authorities before lighting a fire of any size and abide by any bylaws or restrictions that are in place in your area. The public is encouraged to continue exercising caution with the use of any open fire.

Burning must be done in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with the Wildfire Act and Wildfire Regulation.
