The City is updating its Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP), our long-term plan for how wastewater is collected, treated and managed.

The update will consider Salmon Arm’s current wastewater infrastructure and what will be needed in the years ahead, including future population growth, environmental protection, changing regulations & infrastructure reliability.

It is also being coordinated with the Stage IV Water Pollution Control Centre Upgrade, a significant infrastructure project required to address aging infrastructure and future needs.

Residents, businesses and other interested community members are invited to learn more:

πŸ—οΈ Planning for Future Industrial Growth in Salmon Arm

The City is developing an updated Network Servicing Plan for the Airport Industrial Special Development Area, approximately 60 hectares of land identified for long-term light industrial growth.

The plan is looking at how roads, water, wastewater, drainage and active transportation could support development of the area over time.

Because the lands are made up of multiple privately owned properties that may develop at different times, the goal is to establish a practical long-term network that can be implemented in stages while maintaining future connections.

We want to hear from property owners, nearby residents, businesses, the development community and other interested residents.
