SUMMER JOB POSTING - Project Technician

We are looking for an individual interested in working with the Inter-Mountain Watershed District (former Turtle River Watershed Conservation District) based out of our Ste. Rose office.

Job Description:
- Assisting in surveying flights by drone and post-processing of elevation data for District infrastructure and projects
- Assist with fisheries-related research and projects
- Update our culvert inventory (photos, measurement, GPS location, condition)
- Assist with infrastructure maintenance
- Other duties as assigned

Must possess a valid Manitoba driver's license.

Must have been registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year and have the intention of returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.

This job is likely of interest to students in Natural Resources, Fisheries, Engineering, and Environmental Sciences.

Start Date: potential to start May 10/21; start date is flexible

With the current COVID-19 situation, the Inter-Mountain Watershed office in Ste. Rose will be closed to the public until further notice. At this time, we are still in the office but restricting access. If you require assistance, please call (204) 447-2139 and we will be happy to meet with you.

We have the order form printed and ready to go at the front desk. You can pick up order forms at Turtle River Watershed Conservation District most days from 8:30 to 12 and 1 to 4:30. DEADLINE is Feb. 28!

We are once again offering trees for planting in our District. $2 for a young tree seedling, with delivery to our Ethelbert office in May. Minimum order of 10 trees per species. Eligible planting locations include the City of Dauphin, Rural Municipality of Dauphin, the Municipalities of Gilbert Plains, Grandview, Ethelbert, Ste.Rose, and parts of the Municipalities of Mossey River, McCreary, Roblin, Alonsa, Lakeshore, Mountain, Riding Mountain West, and Rosedale.
