Saturday Mindful Moment: Family Mirror Play 🪞✨

A simple mirror can create meaningful moments of mindfulness, connection, and discovery for families.

Through mirror play, children observe their facial expressions, movements, and emotions while developing self-awareness and confidence. When families join in, children are encouraged to make eye contact, imitate expressions, take turns, and engage in playful interactions that strengthen relationships.

Mirror play supports social-emotional development, communication skills, and a sense of belonging. By slowing down and focusing on one another, families can create mindful moments filled with laughter, curiosity, and connection. 💚

St Thomas Pumpkin Prowl is happening today!

We've stirred the pot and updated the Pumpkin Prowl Passport to better support our Downtown Merchants who are generously participating in this event.

Instead of finding a staff member or volunteer to sign your passport for a chance to win $50 Downtown Dollar prize packs, head to Potions Class!
Each participating business will have a Halloween sign indicating they are participating, and the sign will include a word.

To complete your passport, add that word as an ingredient on your Portion Master Passport, along with the name of the business where you saw it! (Tuck a pen into your costume!)

Complete the recipe for your potion along the way and drop it off by 7pm at City Hall or at the Joe Thornton Community Centre Box Office on October 23, or snap photos along the way and complete the passport while sorting candy, and bring it to PumpkinFest at The Horton Farmers Market on October 24 between 8am - Noon!

The Potion Sheets will be available to download and print on Monday, October 19, at https://downtownpumpkinprowl.ca, with limited printed copies available for pickup at City Hall.

If you don't have access to a printer and want to ensure that you have a copy, the St. Thomas Public Library is a great Downtown resource!

👶💛 EarlyON West Infant Massage – 4‑Week Program

Infant Massage supports babies (pre‑crawlers) in developing a sense of belonging and well‑being. Parents and caregivers will learn gentle techniques to help soothe, comfort, and connect with their baby.

This free four‑week program is for infants from birth to pre‑crawling.
