********IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT THE WATER IN ST. MARY'S******* As most of you are aware, the contractors are currently working on the water in St. Mary's. Wonderful news! However, the town will be on the pond water for this coming weekend due to renovations going on at the pumphouse. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

***Update - related to the tie in of two new wells in St. Mary's***
Great News! Town Council has worked very long and hard to get the funding issues straightened up in order to get the tie in of the new wells. Finally, the funding has been approved. The estimated start time of the project is November 27th, 2020 and the expected completion date is December 31, 2020.

Thank you for your patience regarding the water issue in St. Mary's. Council met with the Engineer again on November 4th. The Town has had some funding issues that are currently being resolved. We are waiting to hear back from the Engineer and should have more information to share by Nov 10/11, We understand your frustration and again, thank you for your patience.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Town of St. Mary’s invites TENDERS for SNOW CLEARING and ICE CONTROL services, at an hourly rate, for the period from December 01, 2020 to April 01, 2021.
Tender forms can be picked up at the Town Office during regular business hours.
All bidders must provide, attached to the Tender Form, a valid Letter of Good Standing under the Certificate of Recognition Program (COR), as issued by NLCSA.
Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Tender for Snow/Ice Control” and received by 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 22, 2020.
Council does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

****Update - related to the tie in of two new wells in St. Mary's***

The Engineer sent the Council revised specifications and drawings, along with a revised cost estimate. The Council just had an emergency meeting to review the amended scope of work. The Council made a motion to have the wells completed. The engineer will be putting out a forced tender to three companies. We hope to hear back from the engineer in the coming days...stay tuned. We will keep you posted.
