Louis August 14th, 1951 the St. Louis Branch Wapiti Public Library serves the communities of St. Louis, Hoey, Domremy, St. Isidore-de-Bellevue, Batoche, One Arrow First Nation; and the RM of St. Louis #431 including the St. Louis Public School, École St. Isidore-de-Bellevue School, Almighty Voice Education Centre, and Winding River Hutterite Colony School. y is located in the St. Louis Public School, sharing space there since September 1992. To ensure your safety and that of other patrons and library staff, the St. Louis Branch Wapiti Public Library encourages patrons to wear a mask, physical distance when in the library (on school premises) and use the hand sanitizer stations available at the doors. St. Louis Branch Wapiti Public Library Board Chair Kelsey Ogden & Treasurer Alice Finnestad presented a cheque for $1,000 to Chief James Brake of the St. Louis Fire Department - SK. Canada on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The donation was made with funds raised during the St. Louis Branch Library, fall 2025 used book sale. Books not sold, were donated to various organizations including: Bellevue Care Home (St. Isidore-de-Bellevue), Columbian Manor & Columbian Village (Saskatoon), Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra (SSO Saskatoon), Central Urban Métis Federation Inc. (CUMFI Saskatoon), Station 20 West (Saskatoon), and Value Village (Prince Albert). The library fundraiser for the fire department, would not have been possible without the work of the many volunteers who donated, moved, & sorted books, and staffed the sale.
