May was full of fun, laughter, and busy days here at SORP!☀️
Our regular photographer (aka Reese) travelled Europe for part of the month, and Caroline was having way too much fun to remember to take pictures😅 — so we only captured a few moments this time around!
During the second half of the month we enjoyed an ice cream social, armchair travel adventures, board games, a paper airplane competition, rock painting, and karaoke sessions full of great music and laughs. We also said goodbye to our co-op student Maria and thank her for all her help and kindness during her time with us ❤️
We’re excited to welcome June and all the fun activities ahead!

MEET OUR TEAM👩🏼‍💻

Hi everyone I’m Reese, one of the Activity Coordinator’s here at SORP🤸🏾‍♀️ I recently graduated in May 2025 with a BA Gerontology from St. Thomas University and am halfway through my Master’s of Recreation and Leisure Studies at the University of Waterloo! My hope is to become a certified recreation therapist working with older adults living in long-term care.

As I work through my Master’s I am so excited to be stepping into this role; mixing both my educational and professional ability to promote person-centred programming that allows older adults in our community the opportunity to age in place🌟 Working with our clients is nothing short of fulfilling, they allow us to be our authentic and creative selves and I only hope to return the favour through various physical, cognitive, and social activities!! This program is able to thrive because of the amazing clients we interact with every week. Our hope is to grow SORP and spread awareness of the benefits our program has to offer for the overall health and wellbeing of older adults in our community! We are always looking for new clients to come and join in on the fun🤩

MEET OUR TEAM 👩🏼‍💻

Hi everyone! My name is Caroline and I am one of the Activity Coordinators here at the Seniors Outreach Program! I was born and raised in Saint John and have proudly called it home for most of my life.🍁I’ve also had the opportunity to live in Montreal, QC and London, England. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bishop’s University and hope to pursue a Master’s in Occupational Therapy in the future. 💪🏼

I was truly excited to step into this role and have the opportunity to serve the aging population in our community. Building relationships and creating meaningful experiences has always been important to me, and our clients are what make this work so incredibly rewarding. I am dedicated to ensuring each person feels engaged, valued, and genuinely excited to take part in all the fun activities we offer! 🌷
