We ask all of our Women's Empowerment graduates what the Power Up programs means to them, and we love hearing their responses. This quote from one of our recent graduates really captures Power Up 61!

"Power Up means to me that I can get my motivation back and restart crushing my goals."

This cohort worked together to support one another and motivate each other in accomplishing their goals every week. Our women accomplished budgeting and savings goals, home organization goals, volunteer goals, and advocacy goals (to name a few). Shortly after finishing Power Up, five of our graduates went on to complete their CPR certification! We are so excited for our Power Up graduates to continue crushing their goals and to support our next group of Power Up learners to feel motivated and strong in accomplishing their goals.

In July we wrapped up our 61st Power Up program! Over 10 weeks, these women made connections with one another, within their community, and most importantly within themselves. We are so proud of each and every one of them and are excited to see where their next steps lead.

Did you know that volunteering is proven to boost self-esteem and confidence?

During Power Up our learners are given the opportunity to give back and volunteer. During Power Up 61 we were joined by ACAP Saint John and had the opportunity to learn about the important work they do to support our community and the environment, and then we were able to participate in a clean up at Chown Field.

Thank you ACAP for all that you do to keep our community educated, and our earth vibrant and thriving.

Last month ASaP Hair Studio and Aesthetics hosted an Evening at the Salon for our Women's Empowerment Alumni. We are incredibly grateful to each of the stylists who gave of their time and skill to support our women in feeling like their best selves that night! We all had a blast and walked away with beautiful new hair cuts and a refreshed sense of self.
