Thank you to Ralph Thomas and the New Brunswick Black History Society for an incredible experience today!

Students were informed on the rich Black history of Willow Grove and Saint John, learning of significant people, places and events that helped shape our city. Hearing these stories empowered us to do more to learn about the past, and helped us make connections to areas we seen often without knowing their impact and importance.

The Black Student Association organized this event, and the smiles, laughter and inspiration from today will continue to push us toward deepening our learning experiences in more authentic ways.

What a day in the Hive! 🐝

We were so excited to welcome our friends from KV Oasis Youth Centre for a day full of connection, learning, and inspiration. From awesome swag bags to engaging and meaningful presentations, the energy throughout the school was incredible!

A special shoutout to Madison Cameron, and Bryan Saint Louis for their powerful messages around social media, its impact, and the importance of believing in yourself. Your words truly resonated with our students and staff.

Our Music 112 and 122 classes have been diving into the science behind how instruments create sound—and now it’s time to put that knowledge into action! 🎶♻️
This week, students are designing and building their own instruments using recycled materials. From planning to creation, they’ve been tackling unexpected challenges along the way.

What a week it’s been at Simonds High!

From soaking in the beautiful views during art class 🎨 to our Grade 9 Tech students diving into hands-on projects in full swing 🔧—there’s been so much energy and creativity across campus.

We also had a special celebration as Robyn turned Sweet 16 🎉 and Tiki hit the jackpot with his very own box of Lucky Charms ☘️🥣!

⚡️🔌 Hands-on learning in action at Simonds High!

Our Electronics 110, Physics 11, and Environmental Geoscience 110 students had an incredible opportunity to take part in an engaging presentation led by staff, students, and industry partners from NBCC’s Electronics and Electrical Engineering Technology programs.

Students explored exciting career pathways in the electronics and electrical fields—and even got to try out some very cool, hands-on projects!

The halls were filled with the smell of success this week at Simonds High! 🍕🔥

Our Culinary Tech students turned up the heat for an epic pizza cook-off competition, serving up creative, mouthwatering pies that had everyone talking. From classic favorites to bold, unique combinations, the talent on display was incredible!

Delicious food, friendly competition, and lots of school spirit made for an unforgettable experience. Huge shoutout to our students for their hard work and passion in the kitchen—and to everyone who helped make it happen!

Safe to say… it was a slice of perfection! 👏🍕
