On Monday, our team had the opportunity to participate in a Lunch & Learn on levering your time with Maureen from The Champman Group

Together, we explored practical strategies for staying organized, managing priorities, and making the most of our time both at work and in daily life. It was a great chance to learn, share ideas, and reflect as a team.

Thank you, Maureen, for leading such an engaging session!

Options at the Avenuenb Forum in Miramichi

A few weeks ago, Options was proud to attend the AvenueNB Forum in Miramichi. This event brought together partners from across the province for a valuable opportunity to reconnect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

The forum created space for meaningful conversations, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas that strengthen the work we do in our communities every day.

We were especially grateful for the insightful presentation by Kerri Gaskin of Coverdale Counselling, who shared her expertise and perspective with attendees. Her session added depth to the day’s discussions and provided practical takeaways for those working to support individuals across New Brunswick.

Thank you to Avenuenb and all participants for a great day of learning and connection!

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Randy
Dickinson — a true pillar of our community and a remarkable advocate for inclusion, accessibility, and human dignity.

Randy’s kindness, generosity, leadership, and unwavering dedication touched countless lives across New Brunswick and beyond. He was an extraordinary force for positive change, helping to found and lead numerous committees, organizations, and initiatives, including the New Brunswick Premier’s Council on Disabilities and New Brunswick Disability Awareness Week.

The list of boards, committees, and organizations Randy served throughout his life is extensive, but what stands out most is the impact he had on people. He inspired others through his compassion, wisdom, advocacy, and belief that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and included.

His legacy will continue through the many lives he changed, the communities he strengthened, and the important work he helped build.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives were touched by Randy.

*********

The conversation focused on current progress, emerging priorities, and what the Act means for employers, service providers, and job seekers across New Brunswick. We were also joined by partners from NBDHHS and Hire Potential, strengthening collaboration and shared understanding around accessibility and inclusive employment.

Thank you to all who participated in this informative and collaborative discussion. We appreciate the opportunity to stay informed and engaged as accessibility work continues to move forward in our province.

💙 Autism Awareness & 30 Years of Options 💙

This month, the Options team had the pleasure of visiting the Community Autism Center to spend time with Dawn and Deb and take part in valuable training. This annual visit is something we look forward to every year as we continue to learn, grow, and celebrate Autism Awareness together.

This year’s visit was extra special, as we also took a moment to celebrate a major milestone 30 years of Options! 🎉 We marked the occasion with a celebratory toast (juice, of course!) in recognition of three decades of supporting inclusion, employment, and community connections.

Thank you to Dawn, Deb, and the Community Autism Center for welcoming us and for the important work you do every day. Here’s to continued learning, partnership, and many more years ahead!
