Staff Highlight

Starting with some new staff faces! Meet Rose. Rose recently joined our Saint John My Place team and the moment she landed she fit in with staff and residents.

Rose joined the team after completing her Bachelor of Health in Biomedical Science degree. She is passionate about women’s health and it has been a major role in her education, she is excited to be part of the My Place team and contribute to the well-being of our community.

Residents have found little surprises from Rose and spent lots of bonding time already. She isn't all school and work though. She enjoys digital design, video editing and hiking or binge watch series like The Office (we are nervous to ask which version ....).

Over the next few weeks we will be posting a staff or board highlight daily to shine a light on the people behind the scenes keeping things moving and holding it all together.

Did you know we have 10 staff in Saint John, 24 staff in Miramichi and a Board of Directors with a membership of 10? There are some very special people supporting some very deserving individuals in their own way and we are excited to highlight some of them over the coming weeks.

Celebrating 7 years of amazing work at EFryNB 🧡✨💙

Today, we'd like to highlight Melissa McCaughan who has been a vital part of our organization for an incredible seven years! While she is officially our Record Suspension Coordinator, anyone who knows Melissa knows that her work extends far beyond anything written in her job description. She's always the person you go to when you can't figure something out, the person who will drop everything to lend a listening ear to someone in need, and the one who you can count on if you need a helping hand. Always adaptable and ready to go with the flow, Melissa consistently goes the extra mile for not only the people we work with and serve, but also her coworkers and everyone else in her life. We'd be remiss if we didn't also mention her important role as our unofficial animal whisperer -- from trimming cat nails & administering medication to simply providing love and affection to the animals of the building and those in her life.

For seven years, Melissa has brought her kindness, dedication, humor, genuine care, and SO MUCH MORE to our team. We are grateful for everything you do & we couldn't do this work without you. Thank you for seven years of fantastic work - and here's to many more!
