πŸ•πŸš’ A Special Surprise on Training Night πŸš’πŸ•

This evening, the members of Simonds Fire Rescue were treated to a special surprise during our weekly training night.

Mr. Watson stopped by the station to personally thank our members for their assistance during a medical emergency at his home this past winter. As a token of his appreciation, he arrived with a few pizzas for the crew.

During that emergency, five Simonds members responded to the 911 call. While two members provided patient care and prepared for the arrival of Ambulance New Brunswick, the other three members noticed that deep snow would make access difficult. Without being asked, they grabbed shovels and cleared a path for the ambulance β€” ultimately clearing the entire driveway.

This is what volunteer service is all about. Our members don't go above and beyond because they have to; they do it because they genuinely care about the people in our community.

We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Watson for his kindness and generosity. Most importantly, we are grateful to see him doing well and wish him continued good health.
Moments like these remind us why we serve. ❀️
