Adult education & vocational training programs.

Riverside School Board is authorized to provide educational services and programs to all students who meet the province’s eligibility requirements to receive English instruction. We are the birthplace of French Immersion, originally developed on our territory more than 55 years ago. We also have certified International Baccalaureate schools that offer both the Primary and Middle Years Programs. Riverside places a great deal of emphasis on our student's success and their achievements. We take pride in the fact that Riverside consistently places among the top five and has one of the lowest dropout rates of the 72 public school boards & school service centres in Quebec, both English, and French. This outstanding achievement says much about our school board. Our long history of innovation in education, our focus on bilingualism, the quality of our teachers, all combine to make Riverside a different school board where learning is an enriching lifetime experience. Much of our strength is drawn from the professionalism and dedication of our staff members as well as from parent involvement. We continue to actively support classroom teachers in meeting the challenges of a dynamic curriculum as well as of an integrated program for students with handicaps and/or learning difficulties. Through a culture of volunteerism where staff gives generously of their personal time, we are able to provide a wide variety of complementary activities that add significant value to students’ learning experience.

Who says auto mechanics students can't be artists too?
CET-Augmenté

More than 50 students from the Centre of Expertise in Transport ACCESS (CET-A) took part in an inspiring project celebrating Québec's culture and diversity through the creation of two urban-inspired murals.

Guided by artist Raphaël Alin, students explored their roots and expressed their vision of culture and diversity as future professionals in the mechanical industry. Thanks to augmented reality developed by artist Marc Sauvageau, the murals come to life through students' voices, stories, and personal reflections.

More than an art project, this initiative became a space for creativity, dialogue, and self-expression while highlighting the rich cultural diversity of the ACCESS community.

Stop by the CET-A and discover the artistic talents hidden beneath the coveralls!

We wish we could share this interview directly here, but we’re unable to post news content on Facebook.

This conversation features Christopher Craig, our Chairman of the Council of Commissioners, and touches on the proposed expansion of Bill 101 and the future of English adult education in Québec- as well as the potential impact it could have on students, families, and access to adult and vocational education across the province.

If you’d like to listen, please Google “CBC Daybreak Bill 101” and the interview link will pop up right away.

Worth a listen if you want to learn more about the importance of protecting access to adult and vocational education and what it means for our communities!
