Commission scolaire Riverside / Riverside School Board

Commission scolaire Riverside / Riverside School Board Primaire. Secondaire. Éducation aux adultes et formation professionnelle. Réussir dans les deux langues! Elementary. Secondary. Success in both languages!
(1)

Adult education & vocational training programs.

Riverside School Board is authorized to provide educational services and programs to all students who meet the province’s eligibility requirements to receive English instruction. We are the birthplace of French Immersion, originally developed on our territory more than 55 years ago. We also have certified International Baccalaureate schools that offer both the Primary and Middle Years Programs. Riverside places a great deal of emphasis on our student's success and their achievements. We take pride in the fact that Riverside consistently places among the top five and has one of the lowest dropout rates of the 72 public school boards & school service centres in Quebec, both English, and French. This outstanding achievement says much about our school board. Our long history of innovation in education, our focus on bilingualism, the quality of our teachers, all combine to make Riverside a different school board where learning is an enriching lifetime experience. Much of our strength is drawn from the professionalism and dedication of our staff members as well as from parent involvement. We continue to actively support classroom teachers in meeting the challenges of a dynamic curriculum as well as of an integrated program for students with handicaps and/or learning difficulties. Through a culture of volunteerism where staff gives generously of their personal time, we are able to provide a wide variety of complementary activities that add significant value to students’ learning experience.

We’re excited to announce Leona Prince as the next featured speaker in our Take Me Outside Week 2026 Speaker Spotlight series!

An author and educator, Leona will invite students to explore what it means to care for ourselves, one another, and the world around us through a special reading of Be a Good Ancestor and an interactive conversation about the small actions that can grow into something much bigger.

Her presentation is a beautiful reminder that hope can be nurtured through the choices we make every day, and that being a good ancestor doesn't begin someday. It begins with what we choose to do today. 🌱

Join us this October as Leona and other inspiring speakers help us explore how connection with nature, one another, and our communities can nurture curiosity, possibility, and hope.

October 5 Provincial Elections

Riverside has a pedagogical day scheduled for that day. However, some of our schools will be used as polling stations. As a result, daycare services will not be available at schools being used as polling stations. Schools will also communicate directly with their respective school communities regarding the elections.

As of now, the following schools will be used as polling stations (and daycare services will be closed) on October 5:

Courtland Park International School
Mountainview School
St. Jude School
William Latter School
St. Johns School
Boucherville Elementary
Good Shepherd School
St. Mary's School
Saint-Lambert International High School
Centennial Regional High School
ACCESS Cleghorn

Please note that candidates are permitted to install election signs on school board property in accordance with applicable regulations. The presence of an election sign on school board property does not indicate or imply that the school board, its schools, or its staff endorse the candidate or political party.
