INCommunities - 211 Central South provides residents of Central South Ontario with easy access to the human service information they need to find help in their community. Residents can access this information by calling 211 and speaking to a trained Information & Referral Specialist who will help them access the information that they need. 211 is always answered by a real person and is available 2
4 hours a day, 365 days a year. Community service information is also accessible through the website at www.incommunities.ca. Also accessible through the website is Volunteer Connections, Niagara's volunteer centre. This searchable database has volunteer opportunities posted by organizations throughout the Niagara Region for a wide variety of positions. Volunteering is a great way to build skills and to give back to your community. Interpreters Niagara/Hamilton provides interpretation services to enable service providers to communicate with their clients who do not speak French or English and who are victims of domestic violence and sexual violence as well as those who have been sexually exploited through human trafficking. The interpretation services also include Deaf persons who use American Sign Language - English (ASL), Langue des signes Quebcoise - French (LSQ) or Deaf Interpreters (DI) where a Deaf person does not use either ASL or LSQ.
