In light of the weather, Holy Trinity will be providing overnight accommodation to the homeless effective tonight for those experiencing homelessness in Welland. This will be for 2 weeks while we wait for a plan from the city.

We are needing volunteers ASAP for the following shifts

10-3 supervise- lights out at 11pm

3-8 supervise, wake individuals by 6:30 am and assist with clean up of blankets and take down of beds.

A reminder that St. Catharines City facilities are always available during business hours for anyone needing to warm up 🧣
❄️ Concerned about individuals who may need extra services during a cold weather event? 📞 Call 211 for information on overnight shelters and other services.
ℹ️ Niagara Region provides funding and works directly with agencies that provide shelter space to ensure overnight places are available for vulnerable populations. Silver Spire United Church runs an overnight temporary shelter at 366 St. Paul Street as part of the out-of-the-cold program. WARMING CENTRES | With temperatures forecasted to reach -20 with the wind chill, the following warming centres are open Monday, January 15, during operating hours:
📍 Welland Community Centre (Atrium) – 145 Lincoln St. (Monday-Friday 8 am – 9 pm, Saturday &
Sunday 9 am – 3 pm)
📍 Welland Main Arena (Second Floor Community Room) – 501 King St.
📍 Welland Main Library (Common Area) – 60 East Main St. (Monday-Thursday 9 am – 8 pm, Friday
9 am – 6 pm & Saturday 9 am – 5 pm)

If you live in Welland and your children are in need of a winter coat visit Central United Church, 12 Young Street on Tuesday - Friday between 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Starting November 7 until November 17.

Registration is not required.

⭐ Welland's Harvest Kitchen Meal Schedule ⭐

Starting today, November 1st the Harvest Kitchen Meals are being served at various locations in Welland until March 31, 2024.

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who will help feed so many this winter❤️

SMUN is happy to help spread the word that the Out of The Cold meal program will be open once again this year!
27 years and over 500,000 meals served, supported by 7 churches!

You can now find us at 4pm on Fridays at the Niagara Falls Community Health Centre parking lot 4790 Victoria Avenue (Huron Street Entrance).
