68 Lincoln & Welland Regiment Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps

68 Lincoln & Welland Regiment Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps We are one of the oldest continuously operating Army Cadet Corps in Canada. The Ultimate Challenge! The hardcore outdoor-oriented will love the challenge!

The Royal Canadian Army Cadets appeal to teenagers craving exciting outdoor activities where their personal limits as individuals and team-members will be tested. Army cadets develop abilities in the use of map and compass, GPS technology, orienteering, first-aid, camping and survival skills, canoeing, abseiling, trekking, mountain biking, etc. As they get more experienced, some will be selected f

or parachuting, white-water rafting and glacier climbing. They will also learn to become outdoor leaders. Army Cadets get involved in ceremonial military events and citizenship activities that allow them to connect to their Canadian heritage. They develop a great sense of pride and discipline through their involvement in a hierarchical system that allows them to hone their leadership skills as they grow older and they learn to care for younger cadets. In addition to their specialty training, Army Cadets may become involved in other exciting activities like competitive Olympic-style marksmanship and biathlon, sports competitions, music training and competitions, cultural outings, volunteer community support, etc. Canada represents the best playground for teenagers interested in the outdoors. We are the organization of choice for teens and adults interested in getting out of the classroom to explore the planet the way it should be.

The 68 Lincoln & Welland Regiment Army Cadet Corps extends its sincere gratitude to the Niagara Cyber Lions for their generous donation of musical instruments through the Instruments of Love program.

Although our corps does not currently have a band of its own, many of our cadets proudly participate in the 23 Optimist Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron Tri-Service Band. This generous contribution will help provide additional opportunities for cadets to participate in band, learn the art of music, and experience the discipline, teamwork, and pride that come with being part of a musical ensemble.

We are truly thankful for the Niagara Cyber Lions’ continued support of youth programs in our community. Your generosity helps open doors for our cadets and supports their growth through music, leadership, and service.

This weekend, you’ll find the 68 Army Cadets out in St. Catharines proudly supporting the Legion’s Poppy Campaign. Each poppy worn is a symbol of remembrance — a promise that we will never forget the sacrifices made by those who served.

Take a moment to stop by, say hello to our cadets, and wear your poppy with pride.
