🙌 Thank you to all our residents, and to our dedicated Environmental Services staff, who made our 2026 Rain Barrel pickup day last Saturday morning a great success!
🚗 Staff loaded our $60 each, City-subsidized Rain Barrels into residents' truck beds, car trunks and back seats in a smooth, drive thru process in the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre parking lot.
❗ Didn't get a Rain Barrel this year? Stay tuned to stcatharines.ca/RainBarrel and to the City's Facebook and Instagram accounts next spring when we announce next year's Rain Barrel Sale.

The City of St. Catharines has issued its 2026 final residential and commercial property tax bills. Bills were mailed and made available through the e-Billing portal on June 5, 2026. Property owners who have not received their bill should contact Citizens First at 905-688-5600.

Final tax bill installment due dates are:
• June 30, 2026
• September 29, 2026

📢 The City's "Full Colour: A Celebration of 2SLGBTQIA+ Art and Expression" exhibition has opened!
🙌 Leigh MacLeod, founder / director of Willow Arts Community, is the "Full Colour" curator.
🎨🏳️‍🌈 "Full Colour" is available for viewing during regular business hours at City Hall, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except for statutory holidays.
📅 "Full Colour" is on display at City Hall in the Third-Floor Gallery space now as part of our Pride Month celebrations through Aug. 14, 2026.
🎨 "Full Colour" group exhibition of 20 artworks by 15 artists celebrates the depth, diversity and vibrancy of q***r and trans artistic practices.
🏳️‍🌈 We are proud to offer 2SLGBTQIA+ Artists from St. Catharines and across the Niagara Region the opportunity, and the prominent art installation space at City Hall, to honour their lived experience, and to affirm that q***r and trans stories and artistic practices deserve to be seen, heard, and celebrated in our civic spaces.

Speaking at the reception were: Shannon McHugh, City Manager of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Mayor Mat Siscoe, St. Patrick's Coun. Robin McPherson, Curator Leigh MacLeod, and Poet Victoria Ashleigh Rose reading an original poem. Rose's poem, To Love with Pride alongside the Two Spirit Intersex Inclusive Pride Flag displayed on the front steps of City Hall during our 2025 "Pride in Every Step, Love in Every Action," special exhibit.
