It baffles me how people can do a gender reveal using living animals and feel good about themselves…
These poor doves get dyed pink or blue and released. Unfortunately they are domestic animals who have no clue what to do or how to survive after their first flight in freedom.
Their white colour makes them easy prey for any hawk or other predator who comes by.
Please stop doing this!
Don’t start a new chapter in your life with making an innocent animal please.
It is so simple to do less harm…balloon releases, rice throwing, fireworks and dove releases are all things that do harm.
Let’s try to do better.
