Reminder: National Indigenous Peoples Day is recognized each year on June 21. It is a time to come together in celebration of the cultures, traditions, and contributions of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples of Canada.

The City of St. Albert, together with Indigenous partners, is gathering with community a few days earlier to honour the day. Everyone is warmly invited to attend a public event at St. Albert Place on Friday, June 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with Indigenous artisan vendors present until 4 p.m. We look forward to coming together in a good way to celebrate, learn, and connect. Thank you to everyone who joined us on Clean Air Day to celebrate the newly wrapped air monitoring station!

This day was made possible through collaboration with the Alberta Capital Airshed (ACA), Canadian Women in Design (CWID), and Sport Central. The airshed wrap brings vibrancy, artistry, and community spirit to this important piece of environmental infrastructure, while the free bike tune-ups bring people outdoors and onto the trails safely to enjoy our city.

We’re incredibly grateful to our partners, artists, and community members who helped make the day such a success.

🐕 Taking Fido for a walk? Don't forget: ✅Water ✅ Leash ✅ Waste bags

Picking up after your dog isn’t just polite – it’s the law. Dog owners must always carry multiple bags and pick up p**p immediately. Failure to pick up after your pet can result in a $250 fine.

Be a responsible dog owner: when they p**p, you scoop!
