Hello Everyone!

Here are some photos from friday nights Moth watch.

All in all, we did manage to attract some small moths, some water boatmen...and many mosquitoes.

While we didn't have much luck, some large moths did pass by. So with a few changes, we might see more in the coming days.

Instead of one large setup, there will be multiple stations folks can visit!

Our next moth night will be this Wednesday, August 19th. Please be sure to bring bug spray and long-sleeve clothing as there are still many mosquitoes. While we start at 8:30PM, arriving at 9:00PM is better as its much darker.

Hoping for good weather and clear skies!

Hello Everyone!

Tonight's moth viewing event will be cancelled due to poor weather.

Fear not! moth's night will return this Friday and next week!

As this is a drop-in activity, no registration is required! They will be held at the day-use shelter, next to the parking lot.

In addition to moths, we will have a telescope to look up at the stars!

Events like this are very weather-dependant, so please monitor BLESS Nature Centre for any updates!

Hello everyone!

Since flooding has mostly receded, we will be having this week's bird walks in the forest!

As always we will first meet at the shelter then head out on our walk!

Here are some tips to enjoy your walk:

🦟 Bring bug spray!

🦟 Bring long sleeve clothing that you can take off. It helps stop mosquitoes.

🥾 Bring rubber boots, the trails are still a little muddy.

🚫 Avoid bringing strollers or wagons, the trails are too narrow and bumpy.

If you have a pair of binoculars, feel free to bring them!

Hello Everyone!

Today's afternoon bird walk will be cancelled due to a severe thunderstorm 😞

Consider packing a poncho or raincoat for this week's walks as more rain is expected!

Stay tuned for more updates!
