Be part of the selection process for artwork in Saanich gallery spaces as an Exhibition Selection Committee Member!

We are seeking artists, arts professionals, and community members to join the selection committee roster for the 2027 exhibition season.

Members will help to review exhibition submissions to support a fair and diverse selection process.

Led by Mark Albany of Songhees Nation, walk through the traditional lands of the Lekwungen Peoples with stops at significant locations where you will learn history, land use and stories of the areas.

We're so excited to share that Gordon Head Recreation Centre has achieved the highest possible accessibility certification from the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification program!

This designation demonstrates how committed we are to removing barriers and improving accessibility for visitors of all abilities. Accessibility in Saanich means everyone can participate fully in our services.

A few of the accessibility features you can find at Gordon Head Recreation Centre include automatic door opening systems; hearing assist tech at the Customer Service and Welcome desk; upgraded pool lift; improved signage and more!

May 31 - June 6 is also National AccessAbility Week, a time to recognize the importance of inclusion, accessibility and belonging for people of all abilities.
