It has been our pleasure to serve seniors by ensuring their quality of life is enhanced by providing programs and services specifically de

signed for seniors. At Silver Threads we understand and promote the importance of seniors in building a healthy community by fostering their wealth of knowledge. We work to ensure a higher quality of life is achieved by promoting a senior friendly environment on a day to day basis. In recognition of Loneliness Week, our Outreach Staff hosted an event at Kiwanis Village, one of our program sites. The Block Party - Wieners for Seniors - was attended by 72 hungry attendees. Thanks to the Hot Dog Guys who lived up to their tagline - the best dogs in town. It was a great afternoon, and we always enjoy our time at Kiwanis!! Thank you everyone!

We were so pleased to welcome the Kindergarten class from Tillicum Elementary to our Line Dance Program at the Saanich Centre this afternoon. The Kindergarteners presented their Robot Dance, our Dancers did a line dance and then everyone joined in for the Robot Grand Finale. It was a wonderful time for all!

Introduction to Nordic Pole Walking Saanich Centre

Nordic Pole walking helps you gain fitness, strength, balance and have fun along the way. Participants need to be able to stand and walk 10-15 minutes. Poles are
provided for use during the course time.

Improve Your Table Tennis at the Saanich Centre
Players will have more fun at Table Tennis when they have full control of the basic strokes such as Forehand Drive, Forehand Push, Backhand Drive, and Backhand Push. Mastering proper techniques will assist you when serving, receiving serves, or rallying. The structured, informal training will help improve your consistency and confidence. Players must provide their own bats.

Date: Thursday, May 21st to June 25th
