Russell Legion The Royal Canadian Legion is a non-profit, community-based organization whose mandate is to promote remembrance and bring help to veterans in need.

🇨🇦 WHAT AN AMAZING AFTERNOON AT THE RUSSELL LEGION! 🇨🇦

Yesterday, Russell Legion Branch 372 was honoured to welcome Footsteps of Canadian Heroes to our community with Sue Milner. ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to meet the team, learn more about their incredible mission and join us for our BBQ. We had an amazing turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many members of our community showing their support. 🍔🌭🇨🇦

Most importantly, we hope their visit helped bring even more awareness to our Canadian Veterans — past and present — and the importance of keeping their stories, sacrifices and memories alive.

Thank you to Footsteps of Canadian Heroes for making Russell one of your stops and for the work you do travelling across Canada sharing these important stories. It was truly an honour to have you. 🇨🇦❤️

And thank you to our volunteers and everyone who helped with the BBQ and made the afternoon such a success!

September is here, and we have a fantastic month of community, entertainment, veterans’ programs and fun planned at the branch! ❤️

There’s something happening almost every week — come out, bring some friends and see what’s going on!
