Today, concrete is being placed for Cheam's new Hockey Box and Basketball Court bringing this exciting community project one step closer to completion.

Construction of the boards is expected to begin in about two weeks, and we are aiming to have the facility completed by early July.
This new space will create more opportunities for youth, families, and community members to gather, play, and enjoy outdoor recreation together.
Stay tuned for updates and details about the grand opening.

🎬 Join us for this must see award-winning short documentary!

Fierce and passionate individuals are taking audacious measures to save a planet in crisis. The Rewilders is a visually spectacular short documentary following pioneering conservationists on three continents, each working to rewild iconic species like jaguar, elephant, bison and salmon. The impact of their efforts is galvanizing a global movement, one species and one landscape at a time.

🎥 This is a film showcases people who highly value what sustains life across three continents, rewilding habitats for keystone species like Pacific salmon, jaguars, elephants and bison. It includes the transformation of Gill Bar to St’óqweleqw, a critical habitat for salmon, sturgeon and wildlife. This was Pelólxw Tribe led using the best of Indigenous and western science, and an intergenerational force.

🎥 Marlene Rodgers, Director and Kyle Gunther, Producer/Executive Director of the film will be there!

🎥 Master of Ceremonies: Trevor McDonald, Executive Director, The Downtown Chilliwack Business Improvement Association

🎥 Panel Discussion Moderator: Eryne Croquet, Senior Agrologist and geoscientist with Statlu Environmentalist Consulting

🎥 Bios: A variety of Information tables will be set up in the lobby by local organizations and agencies who are active in restoration projects in our area, such as: Lower Fraser Fisheries Alliance, Alongside Consulting, Pelólxw Tribe, S’ólh Téméxw Stewardship Alliance, Water Wealth, and the Blue Heron Reserve.
