Episode 11 - Closed Doors

Have you ever prayed for something that seemed completely right—healing, provision, restoration, an opportunity—only to hear God's answer through a closed door?

Sometimes the most difficult prayers aren't the unanswered ones, but the ones God answers differently than we expected.
In this week's Impact Stream, we explore how God's grace meets us in disappointment, why faith is deeper than getting the outcome we want, and how some of God's greatest mercies may arrive disguised as closed doors.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." — 2 Corinthians 12:9

Listen now and be encouraged: A closed door is never the end of the story when God is the One holding the key.

What good is a broadcast if no one is ready to receive it?

That's the question behind every prayer request we carry for our listeners. Pakistan is home to 240 million people — and with Islam as the dominant faith, fewer than 2% have ever heard the Gospel. Across 50 countries and 152 languages, FEBC's broadcasts go out daily — but the work of opening hearts belongs to God alone.

Pray with us today: for listeners in Pakistan and around the world to have open hearts to receive the love of Christ, and for our team as they develop new ways to reach people through social media.

Your prayer is part of this mission.

In a country where less than 1% of people are Christian, a listener quietly tuned in for six years. No church. No community. Just a broadcast, and a God who kept showing up.

"I was encouraged and healed, and finally overcame hardships. May God bless you!"

Stories like this are why FEBC keeps developing new programs for Japan — and why prayer is the foundation of that work.

Pray with us today: ask the Holy Spirit to guide the team as they find new ways to bring the Gospel to 125 million people still waiting to hear it.

Tabitha is 4 years old. She has never known a Ukraine without war.
One day, she picked up a doll and started playing. Her father, Igor, paused when he heard the sound she was making. It wasn't a firetruck or a police siren.
It was an air raid alarm.

Igor is FEBC's program director in Ukraine, a role that came to him suddenly when the previous director was drafted in the first month of the conflict. More than a quarter of FEBC's team has since been called to serve. When power goes out across Kyiv, Igor's team runs on generators. When they can't record at the station, they broadcast from their phones. When families flee to underground shelters, FEBC is there, offering counseling by phone, filling dark bunkers with Scripture through MP3 lamps, staying close to listeners no matter what.

"As Christians, we have hope in Jesus Christ," Igor says. "But what about unbelievers? How can we serve them?"

That question has driven Igor to double his team's size even as the war depletes it. It's driven teenagers to bring new ideas, videos that share the Gospel, that led a 17-year-old struggling with addiction all the way to baptism. It's reached a 41-year-old man who wrote in years later to say: "You sowed the seed in my heart."

Igor closed a recent call with FEBC President Ed Cannon with two prayer requests for anyone who wants to stand with Ukraine:

🙏 Wisdom: for Igor and his team to find better ways to serve their neighbors with the Gospel.
🙏 Protection: every member of the FEBC Ukraine team has someone they love on the frontlines.

Will you pray with them today?
