Today, we proudly participated in Moose Hide Campaign Day — a powerful movement dedicated to ending violence against women and children and advancing meaningful reconciliation.

Our team came together wearing our Moose Hide pins and walking in solidarity to show our shared commitment to creating safer communities and a better future for everyone.

We are grateful to stand alongside communities across the country in support of this important movement and the ongoing work toward respect, healing, and reconciliation.

Did you know? BC is expecting over 1 million job openings in the next decade.

Major projects are already moving ahead in construction, clean energy, critical minerals, marine, and transportation - creating tens of thousands of jobs across the province.

To meet the demand, BC is expanding skilled trades training - so people here are first in line for good, local jobs.

The plan includes:
- Up to 5,000 new trades training seats in 2026/27
- Cutting waitlists for in-demand programs
- More training in rural and remote communities
- More programs to keep pace with industry needs - from construction to clean energy and transportation.

If you want in: grants, apprenticeships, and training programs can help you get ready, whether you’re starting out or switching careers.

Meet Jyneva, a Level 2 electrical apprentice with Houle Electric.💡

Growing up with an electrician dad, items like Marrette wire connectors and copper wire were just part of everyday life. By Grade 3, that early exposure had turned into a real interest, with "electrician" consistently listed as one of her top career choices.

Now in her apprenticeship, she's gaining hands-on experience and working toward certification. Once she becomes a journeyperson, Jyneva is interested in moving into the design side of electrical, focusing on 3D modelling, and eventually stepping into a foreman role.

Her advice for other students 👉 "There's always going to be work in electrical or the other trades, so 100% recommend doing it. Do your Level 1 and I'm sure you'll love it!"

The skilled trades are full of opportunities! Explore the possibilities: SkilledTradesBC.ca
