DID YOU KNOW: Elephant hearts on average weight 27 to 46 pounds! This is quite heavy, and might explain why they are such loving animals.

However, an estimated 40,000 elephants are killed every year from poaching, driven by the illegal ivory trade. Organizations such as

aim to protect elephants and stabilize their populations. Please, if you care about elephants, we encourage you to donate and support the fight against elephant poaching. They also have great memory, so they won't forget how important your contributions are.

Securing a future for elephants and sustaining the beauty and ecological integrity of the places where they live.

AIDE committee is proud to present round 2 of Push-Ups for Poverty, a school wide initiative that aims to raise money for Toilet Twinning.

Students will be able to pledge money for teachers to do a certain amount of push-ups. That’s right, you’ll finally be able to see Mr. Croswell, Mr. Israel, Ms. Sankey, Mr. Halkidas, and many more of your favourite teachers work up a sweat the same way they make you do before every test!

We have partnered with Toilet Twinning who, with the money we raise, will build toilets and sewage systems throughout the world where proper sanitation systems are not readily available.

Remember to reach the caf after school on November 2nd! 🚽🚽

Hey Bayview!

AIDE Committee is a club dedicated to fighting poverty and raising awareness regarding global issues. Last year we raised over $3000 dollars for Toilet Twinning, an organization that builds sanitation facilities in India. If you have a passion for global development and humanitarianism, be sure to stop by!

Tomorrow is our kickoff meeting in Room 212 at 3:30, and will quickly go over our upcoming events! We look forward to seeing you all there.
