Our current Artist at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA) is Bair-Jia Huang, who specializes in traditional Chinese Brush Painting. Her first experience with Chinese Brush Art was grinding ink for her Father.

Since 2015, Bair-Jia currently serves as director of the Chinese Brush Art Association of Canada and frequently has her work showcased in an annual members exhibition as well as within their Members Artwork Album published every three years.

Calling all artists! The Call for Artists for the Richmond Hill Village Art Walk 2023 is open and filling up quickly. New this year , there will be limited indoor spaces available for artists along with the original main outdoor spaces. Also new this year, we will be featuring artists who prefer to showcase their work in their own Home Studios within Richmond Hill. The Artwalk will take place Rain or Shine, on Saturday September 23, 2023 from 10:00 - 4:00 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. This month the Visual Art Gallery features artist Dana Sewell's vibrant and colourful works which can be seen at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA),
Dana's work brings a breath of fresh air during the rainy month of April. Spring is definitely in the air and at the theatre.

Enjoy a fun day of painting as you create your own hand-painted decorative pillows. It’s a wonderful way to inject your personality and customize your home decor. In this workshop with artist Sharon Kirsh you will learn the ins and outs of fabric painting and then you will learn techniques for building a successful pattern. You will learn about working with colour, brush work and creating compelling shapes. You will also be given the opportunity to experiment and play prior, so that you can begin your pillows with confidence! Please note that all materials are included. A material fee of $30 will be collected by the instructor at the class. The seniors discount does not apply; the full fee is required.
