Join the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade information session on September 24 to help Richmond Hill Life Science companies understand export opportunities with the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Hainan, China.

Established by the Chinese government as a national pilot zone for healthcare innovation, Lecheng is the only region in China authorized to provide special access to select overseas-approved pharmaceuticals and medical devices before they receive approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). The Pilot Zone is home to 44 leading hospitals and medical institutions serving patients from across China who are seeking access to innovative treatments, therapies, and medical technologies not yet available elsewhere in the country.

Lecheng is actively seeking partnerships with Canadian pharmaceutical manufacturers, medical device companies, distributors, and wholesalers to introduce innovative healthcare products to Chinese patients. Under its special regulatory framework, eligible foreign-approved pharmaceuticals and medical devices may be imported, prescribed, and utilized within the Pilot Zone prior to receiving NMPA approval.

This session will provide Richmond Hill companies with an overview of Lecheng's unique market access policies, procurement opportunities, and partnership models, while highlighting its role as a strategic buyer and gateway to China's rapidly growing healthcare market.

Regional Tariff Response Initiative in southern Ontario information sessions

📢 Richmond Hill businesses: on Aug 25 the Government of Canada introduced a $7.5 billion package of new and enhanced measures that deliver fast, simple and agile supports to Canadian workers and businesses.

As part of this response, FedDev Ontario is delivering an expanded Regional Tariff Response Initiative (RTRI) to support small and medium-sized enterprises across southern Ontario to respond to tariff pressures.

‼️ The funding intake is open - apply early as funding will be available until funding allocation is fully committed.
