📣 LAST DAY to Submit Your Nomination Package

Today is the final day for prospective candidates to submit nomination packages for the 2026 General Local Election.

Election Officials will accept nomination documents at Revelstoke City Hall (216 Mackenzie Avenue) until 4:00 p.m. today.

⏰ Nomination packages must be received by 4:00 p.m. sharp. Under provincial legislation, late submissions cannot be accepted.

If you plan to run for office, please submit your completed nomination package as soon as possible to allow Election Officials time to review your documents before the nomination period closes.

For candidate information and nomination requirements, visit rvst.ca/election or contact the Chief Election Officer.

Today, Blast visits us from 1935, where he’s viewing Revelstoke from 5 mile lookout on Mount Revelstoke.

Why are we doing this?
Because Revelstoke’s heritage is important. This is a small way we can remember our roots and share gratitude for how we grew into the unique, vibrant, caring and adventurous community we are today.

🚧 NICHOL ROAD will have traffic control in place at Park and Nichol Road from September 8 to September 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for underground placing and service vaults.

🚧 AIRPORT WAY will have traffic control in place between Nichol Road and Red Devil Hill from September 8 to September 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for underground placing and service vaults.

🟢 Evacuation Alert Cancelled for Fish River Road & Incomappleux River FSR

Following recommendations from BC Wildfire Service, the Evacuation Alert issued during the Johnson Creek Wildfire has now been lifted.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of emergency responders, support agencies, volunteers, and affected residents, the incident concluded safely with no loss of life and no structures lost within the evacuation area, other than the wooden Crevice Bridge.

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to keeping our communities safe.
