Regina Public School Board - Trustee Adam Hicks

Regina Public School Board - Trustee Adam Hicks Adam Hicks is your Regina Public School Board Elected Trustee. Visit www.adamhicks.info for more information. I will represent your voice at the table.

I care about children receiving the best education possible and for that reason, I was elected to represent Subdivision 3 as your Public School Board Trustee. I will focus on continuing the successful programs that are currently in place in our school division and I will seek areas in which improvements can be made. I will work to have the Regina School Division operating at its highest capacity t

o best educate our students. I am in this to sit on the board and work with six other trustees to resolve issues, make decisions and create improvements where necessary. I believe in full transparency and effective communication. I will focus on communicating why decisions are made and explain how other aspects of education are effected by such decisions. I will be available and open for discussions, meetings, and receiving feedback from the citizens. I have had extensive training in management and working positively in a group environment. I know how to be an effective member of a team and the importance of being able to show measurable results. I graduated with distinction obtaining a bachelor of business administration in management as well as a certificate in economics from the University of Regina. I continued my education by taking many training courses that would enhance my knowledge as a leader. Most recently, I have obtained my Certified Professional Management (CPA, CMA) designation and Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. I will be an active member of the board seeking feedback, conducting research, devising plans and putting them into action. To contact me, please send me a message at the bottom of the webpage and I will get back to you promptly. We all benefit from an educated society.

Alright… as Board Chair of Regina Public Schools, I am supposed to celebrate all students equally.

And I do. I really do. Lots of incredible kids doing amazing things across the division every single day.

…but today, I’m going to exercise just a little bit of bias!

Because this one is mine ❤️

I am unbelievably proud of Kynlee for being recognized as a Junior Citizen of the Year award winner - representing everything that makes Regina Public Schools so special.

What makes this extra meaningful is not just the award… it’s how she got here.

Over the last couple of years, this Grade 6 student has:

🙌 Raised thousands of dollars through garage sales, lemonade stands, summer markets, and more.
🙌 Helped Build a legacy fund with the Saskatchewan Community Foundation that has now grown to over $16,500 and will give back to animal charities forever in memory of our family golden retriever, Maya 🐾
🙌 Logged hundreds of volunteer hours serving our community
🙌 Chosen to donate a significant portion of her own earnings at a part time job last year because she believes helping others matters more than keeping it

And the part that gets me every time — she does it all with a simple mindset:

“Volunteering is easy… I just try to always smile and be nice.”
That’s it. No strategy deck. No governance framework. Just heart.

The Saskatchewan Community Foundation piece is something I’m especially proud of. What Kynlee has helped build isn’t just fundraising but it’s a permanent legacy that will support animal shelters year after year, long into the future. That’s real, measurable impact.

And to her teachers and school community at École Dr A E Perry SCC, thank you. You’ve helped shape a kid who leads quietly, helps constantly, and never asks for recognition.

Kynlee, you remind me that leadership isn’t about titles but rather it’s about showing up, helping others, and doing the right thing even when nobody is watching.

Proud dad moment. ❤️

Dale was the first person I talked to when considering to run for the election in 2016. He always said it was something I needed to take seriously and put effort forward - I have always remembered his advice. He helped me get my start into education and thankful for his willingness to share. Thank you Dale for your dedication to public education over the years.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Dale West, a former teacher, principal, and trustee with Regina Public Schools.

Dale dedicated 31 years to education, and throughout his career brought warmth, optimism, and positivity to every interaction. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and supported, whether he was working with students, colleagues, or members of the community.

A large, athletic man, Dale’s physical presence was matched only by his deep passion for teaching. He believed strongly in public education and in the potential of every student, and that belief showed in everything he did.

Dale’s impact will be felt for years to come through the many lives he touched over his career. We remember him with gratitude and respect.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Exercise, an amazing brunch, Hillberg & Berk jewelry for all runners, AND raising money for kids… what more could you ask for. (Side note is the jewelry makes the perfect Mother’s Day gift for my wife so it’s an extra bonus!)

Hearts are full after Inspire Event 2026. Youth from across Saskatchewan came together to learn, share, connect, and lift each other up… and the result was nothing short of inspiring.

Thank you to the young leaders who showed courage, curiosity, and kindness throughout the day.

And thank you to the community that continues to show up.

Together, Passion2Action is building a brighter future — one inspired young leader at a time.
