Coordinated Access Regina A Coordinated Access System streamlines the process for people experiencing homelessness

10/06/2025

Thank you to all the incredible volunteers who supported this year’s Point-in-Time (PiT) Count in Saskatoon and Regina.

Your time, compassion, and conversations helped gather vital data on homelessness in our communities — data that will guide more informed, effective responses moving forward.

Your efforts make a real difference.

Amid a growing crisis across the country, Saskatchewan's two major cities plan to conduct homeless counts every year starting this fall.

Orange Shirt Day, held annually on September 30, is a day to honour the residential school survivors and remember the Indigenous children who were lost or never returned to their families. Wearing an orange shirt symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children, and it is also recognized as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

2 Days to Go! 🕒
On October 2, 2025, Regina will take part in the Point-in-Time (PiT) Count — a one-night survey to measure homelessness in our community. The data collected guides Regina’s Plan to End Homelessness: Everyone Deserves a Home and supports efforts across Canada to reduce and end homelessness.
✨ There’s still time to volunteer! Training and supper are provided before the count.
Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive community where everyone has a safe place to call home.

We want you to come join us for Regina’s Point-in-Time (PIT) Count on October 2, 2025.

The PIT Count is an important community effort that helps us better understand homelessness in our city by collecting data on the number and needs of people experiencing homelessness. This information guides planning, resources, and support services in our community.
A huge thank you to all the volunteers, partners, and organizations coming together to make this possible. Together, we can work toward meaningful solutions and ensure everyone has a place to call home.
