Today, the Township of Red Rock was pleased to join Red Rock Legion Branch 226 in celebrating a very special milestone: the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion.

On July 17, 2026, Canada Post released a commemorative stamp honouring 100 years of the Royal Canadian Legion. Today, our local Post Mistress presented the commemorative stamp to Legion President Dave Fall on behalf of Canada Post.

Mayor Robinson also presented flowers to the Legion on behalf of the Township of Red Rock, with fellow Branch 226 members in attendance to mark the occasion.

Congratulations to Royal Canadian Legion on this remarkable milestone, and thank you for your many years of service, remembrance, and commitment to our community.

The next regularly scheduled Council Meeting in Red Rock is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, with Open Session beginning at 6:30pm. This meeting is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

You can join The Red Rock Public Library's Reading Club at any time!

Our theme for October is:
"Fresh Perspective!”
Stories told from multiple perspectives.

Our meeting will take place October 7th so come and visit our Reading Club dedicated display to choose your title!

The Reading Club works like this:
We select a diverse range of books from The Red Rock Public Library's collection with a theme in common, covering different genres, cultures, periods, etc.
After a few weeks we meet at the library to discuss the books we read over some light refreshments!
The guidelines are informal- you can read more than one of the book selections if you are an avid reader (but please only borrow one book at a time!) Busy month and you couldn’t finish your pick? You can still join us to discuss our reading!
